Best Fisheye lense for Canon EOS 550D

Hi everyone.

I've seen a few Fish eye lenses for the Canon EOS 550D for around the £200ish mark. Anyone out there wise enough / experienced enough to advise on the best fish eye lense in that price range?

£200? woot i thought the only one worth having was the canon one thats around 800

You'll be lucky to get a decent one for £200... I used to have a Sigma 8mm f/4 that was awesome, £250 2nd hand.

Yeah.....its a totally manual one, manual aperture and focus as it doesn't make any electronic contact with the camera, but im cool with that. So as long as i can have some fun with it and get decent shots ill be pretty happy

Have a look at the Samyang 8mm fisheye. Gets great reviews.

hmm seems its between that and the Rokinon FE8M-C 8mm F3.5 Fisheye Lens

Have you considered renting one? Just thought it could save you a bit of money if you just wanted to experiment.

As far I'm aware, the Rokinon and Samyang are exactly the same. Just different branding. You might also find it under the name Vivitar/Opteka, and a few other names.

Seems the Samyang is more easily available though.

The Peleng 8mm fisheye used to be found for a good price, but it's way more now than what I originally paid.

Its an old school fully manual lens though, no electronic coupling so aperture adjustments are made by using the aperture ring on the lens itself.
