Best FMV games?

Anyone here played many interactive FMV style games?

Only two i've played are Night Book and Late Shift, really enjoyed Late Shift.

Interested in knowing which ones people enjoyed the most.

It's not quite the same type of game as you're referring to with Late Shift, but I really enjoyed Contradiction.

Not for Broadcast - Absolutely excellent.

They were about to start recording the 3rd part of it and everything went to crap as the lockdowns happened. So they rewrote a chunk of it and included it in the game referring events that happened in the earlier parts of the game as triggering the lockdown.

It's both funny and gets dark at points.. REALLY dark.

tex murphy ones, plus there remastering one of their old ones so the fmv bits are in 4k i think, shows progress on their site under news.

Best fmv games imo them.

Sam Barlow's stuff is highly regarded. Her Story, Telling Lies, and Immortality. If you care about reviews, Immortality got a 10 from Edge

Gabriel knight: the beast within. Is a very old favourite of mine. Most of it holds up still.

x files was another good one tho the interface is a bit meh but good story and stuff. Wish that got a remaster for higher res version and more up to date ui.

2 wasn't fmv, but can confirm that all 3 were great. I will say that I'm not sure I'd count them, since the game play and the FMV stuff is very seperate. So really just a game with FMV cutscenes aside from the occasional choice

Got a key for Contradiction in a bundle ages ago but not played it yet.
A friend described it as an interactive episode of Midsummer Murders.
When I get the urge for a bit of detectiving I think about trying it but always end up playing one of the Tex Murphy games. Lol.

privateer 2 had Clive owen in fmv bits in that game iirc.

I've still got the double sided DVD version of Wing Commander 4.

Normally FMV and Good or Enjoyable dont occur in the same sentence.
