Best food for a mouse ?

Hi all

Got a mouse treating my kitchen as it’s personal pantry. We think it got in via some sort of pipe work attached to the sink area.

We’ve tried peanut butter, and cheese.. but it has not seemed too keen on either of these. (Because of course they don’t like cheese..what!?)

Any tips ?

peanut butter is what's always worked for me be it in the loft or in the garage.

Strange. Baited some traps with peanut butter, and nothing. Does it matter if it’s chunky or smooth ?

Thanks. Maybe that’s why it hasn’t worked. We have chunky. Perhaps it’s a picky mouse.

Just want it gone. Ugh.

Try Nutella or similar if peanut butter isn't working.

I don’t have Nutella… but I have biscotti toast paste. Perhaps that will work.

Thanks chaps. Will hopefully catch it today. I’ve tried ham last night. No go. Put some fresh p.butter on it this morning. We shall see !

Went to pour a pot noodle the other morning to find the arse of it had been chewed out. Hot water all over the kitchen unit and floor.

No. I won’t use adhesive mats. Awful way to go.

I’d much rather trap it and relocate it. But I know for a fact it’ll find its way back.

Wire wool is / chicken wire is a great suggestion too guys. Thank you. Gonna plug some holes with wire wool / silicone.

Huh.. good point Darren. Perhaps snaptrap is the best, humane option.

I’ve put some leftover popcorn chicken out. If this does not temp it.. then I don’t know what will.

Okay yep. The half eaten popcorn chicken got swiped. It was gone this morning. The p.butter trap totally ignored. Will rebait with chicken.

Not really. got some new traps with official mouse bait. It reminds me of the chocolate sauce you put on your softy
