*I* could, but he doesn't have MM access! :p With so many people upgrading to 48XXs I'll advise him to try and get a bargain 3850/70 on the bay, and if he's not willing to do that I'll tell him to go for an 8800GS. Thanks all.
 
If your upgrading from integrated graphics or 8400GS level of cards, the HD3850 is a stonking card for the money.
