Hi,
Been stalking these forums recently and have spoken to the OCUK shop last Saturday to get my starting advice. Have an old Samsung 23" inch which is 1080p but with no HDMI input. I'm not a purist, dont set up colour thingys and cant afford GSYNC. Currently playing BF1 at the moment, plus Titanfall 2, Max Payne 3, Rocket League as examples. It is mostly a gaming machine, using Roccat Kave 5.1 headphones.

Pretty much decided to only get 144Mhz at 1080p (not 1440) with both HDMI and DP input options but not sure whether to go for 24", 25" or 27". I am concerned over the physical size as I only sit 70-80cm ish away but not yet made it into see them (I use a 24" at work and thats not small), hence why a 25 is in there.

Monitors on my short list so far:
24 - AOC g2460PF
25 - Samsung LS25HG50fquxen
27 - Iiyama Prolite GB2788HSB1
27 - Acer GN276HL

I appreciate that there is a lot of appreciation for Dell, and I fondly remember my 21" Iiyama CRT (what a beast that was). Am I missing an obvious choice please for a different 24"?

EDIT - 111 views and no response so disappointed was reading pages of the very long 21.9" ultrawide thread - would one of these run on this card fine?
Thx

Brilliant thanks for responding, but such a range of opinions!
Webzta - been previously advised against 1440 res because my card may not have full legs, and not used to 144Mhz (yet?) and did you opt for the 27" or 34"?
Poneros - thanks will add that Viewsonic to the list.
Aatu - never been sure about the Catalyst system and drivers with AMD cards, saw it on another PC and it was like I had never set one up. Will check though your list too.

Resurrecting as cant stop reading this forum!
Moved my PC into another room and will be wall mounting a new monitor, meaning I am going to be sitting slightly further away. My current monitor is 10 years old and I change graphics cards more often.
Therefore, decision is for a 27" 1440p monitor to future proof the screen (a little), I appreciate that there will be occasions to turn down the settings on some games.
However, am upgrading second machine for Xmas and this will likely be the recipient of my Gainward 6Gb 1060 in a couple of years (or less?).
Recent gaming now also includes: Forza Horizon 3 and Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Therefore, am trying to close down the options from my OP, comments please and would stretch the budget a bit.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £814.07
(includes shipping: £14.10)

The best 24'' 144hz monitor is viewsonic xg2401, great colours & fantastic responsiveness, plus the added bonus of Freesync if you ever change cards.

For ultrawides I have the LG 29'' and the colours on this are fantastic (best thing about it really). Can recommend, it's also at a very good price.

Which LG please? Now Pocah has thrown another option into the mix, it makes a lot of sense. Even though I really need to have made a decision by Black Friday.....
