best free anti virus

When you guys recommend Malwarebytes are you talking about the free version or paid? The free version only has manual system scans, no real time protection unless i'm mistaken?

ive no idea personally as i ony install it to scan then delete/uninstall afterwards

Malware bytes is a good on demand scanner, I use it with SUPER to do monthly scans before a backup run.

Resident AV via Security Essentials is more than enough. It's all I use now having been a long time user of AVAST/Avira/BitDefender.

I tend to use Comodo Internet Security (antivirus and firewall) for most of my stuff these days works well and is free.
