Best free backup app

Hello,


Is there an easy to use backup application that is light and auto backups everything to another drive, without putting it in any silly formats or compressing it ?


Basically, I want c:\ backed up to z:\, automatically, no sceduled rubbish, no online backup rubbish, no accounts, no stupid silly UI, just something nice and simple...

Most apps I've tried like comodo come with way too much **** and features I don't want.

Do you mean drive mirroring or backup? i.e. are you looking to recover from a dead hard drive position or accidental deletion? The differences are quite significant.

Win 7 Pro upwards has a built-in drive mirroring set-up which would avoid your 'no scheduled rubbish'. I think the in-built Backup app is pretty decent too.

Indeed, for simple - windows. If you wanted something more complex i.e. father/grandfather rolling backups then crashplan would be second.
