Best free DVB software?

Could someone recommend the best free software for watching digital TV with a TV card? I have a separate EPG, so the more light weight, the better.

I've tried using Media Center, but it forgets the channels list every few weeks and needs 10 minutes to rescan, which is a bit inconvenient when you suddenly remember that something is on.

I've used NextPVR for years and it's been great (it used to be called GB-PVR and the screenshots on that site haven't been updated, it looks a lot nicer than that).

I used to use GB PVR (and did for years) , tried NPVR and it too rough around the edges
