Best free DVB-T program?

Got a WinTV Nova-T stick, but lost the disc and Hauppauge want me to buy another (which isn't happening). What's the best free program for DVB-T tuning?

Tried mediaportal, no workie.

Download the WinTV Version 7 software from Hauppauge web site HERE. Click on Installation Download tab.

You have to insert the disk to prove you own a copy for it to install though

you not on win7? media center is better than anything else iv used

+ 1 for media centre. When on xp i originally used the pinnacle software, but after switching to vista and using Media centre its really good. Still using it on windows 7

I use GB-PVR, the new version of it, NextPVR looks quite nice - I might have a go at upgrading to it.

Really? It's never asked me to insert a disk when installing the WinTV software. :confused:

I don't even have a disk as a work colleague gave me my tv card.

Their site claims it's to stop people who bought an OEM version of the card from upgrading, instead you're meant to buy a 'replacement CD' from them for $10 letting you upgrade.

Would it not be legal to download a disc 'image' or borrow 1 from a friend to backup or if you have the receipt ask Hauppauge for a replacement disc since your the owner of the hardware surely it's not a copyright problem.
I'm guessing they did this so people with other types of tv cards don't use their software.

Unless it's considered against the rules of the forum, i can upload the version i've got if you like. It was completely free to download when i got it but it's a slightly older version than what's on the website now. It's still Version 7 though.

This is the file name of the one i've got "wintv7_cd_1.1e1.exe"
