Best free software to convert 'FLAC' to 'ALAC'

Can anybody recommend a good free simple to use software to convert flac to apple apple lossless with no loss in SQ?

I use FLIC FLAC to convert to .wav, the add it into iTunes and "create an apple lossless version" using iTunes. you lose your ID tags which is a bit of a pain, but its easy enough to re-do them in iTunes. not ideal if your doing your entire music collection though.

There are ways to do it direct from Flac to ALAC, without losing tags, but I never found a nice way to do it. They always use an unofficial ALAC encoder, although I have heard the Apple have release ALAC as a free encoder, but could never find much information on it though.

Not a neat solution I'm afraid, but it works for me.

foobar2000 with the free encoder pack: http://www.foobar2000.org/encoderpack - you want the "refalac" encoder.

There should be no loss in sound quality doing a lossless/lossless conversion unless the encoder is broken/buggy.
