Best free VNC software

I have started doing the odd IT job on the side and have realised there is quite a few everyday problems (to someone with IT knowledge) that could be fixed in minutes if I could just remote in and use their PC from home. Easy money for me and great service for the customer

So what programs have you guys used in the past? It would have to be something really easy to setup on the customer side so I could talk older folks through it if needed.

Don't use VNC. It's insecure. Use something like TeamViewer or LogMeIn.

Seconded, VNC has its uses but it really needs to be a controlled environment, not something you want to be installing on customers PCs Both TeamViewer and LogMeIn are free for personal use only IIRC, but for the odd job on the side they're excellent.
