best game around for PC

Um...Deus Ex of course.

(as long as you can adapt to 10-year old graphics, although you can mod the game to make it look better).

Braid
Half Life 2 + Episodes
Mass Effect series
Dragon Age Origins
Starcraft 2
Bad Company 2 (for multiplayer, debatable as BF3 is being released in 2.5 months or so)

Oh, and don't forget to preorder Battlefield 3 and Skyrim. Maybe even Rage.
 
OP only wants the BEST game though. There can be only one, none of this multiple choice rubbish ;)
