Best game ending ever?

I really enjoyed the ending to F.E.A.R...

Where the nuclear bomb explodes within your vicinity

I also liked the ending to MGS 3...

The narrated bit over Snake going to see the grave and saluting. Perfect.

Hard to top the pure elation I felt at the end of Pokémon Blue, age 12...

Same with Final Fantasy 7-9, and the Metal Gear Solid games.

Think that's an age thing, though, more than any inherent narrative awesomeness. Willing suspension of disbelief, childish naivete, etc.etc.

Modern Warfare 1 and 2 had endings that were both absolutely fabulous.

Portal was a great little surprise.

Red Dead Redemption was incredible,
and had me feeling really down over the next few days. Me and John Marston had gone on this amazing adventure together, and to have had to do what you did... It was so sad. But what a great ending to a truly great game.

MW 1&2 were pretty epic, felt a bit bleak after them I must admit.

COD:MW games may have had cliched endings but I still enjoyed them. IW are one of the best in the business at cinematic set pieces IMO.

Had forgotten about FEAR until it was mentioned above, was a good ending indeed.
