Best game intro?

FFVII wins because it's not just extremely good, but sweeps flawlessly into the game- it's not just a pretty trailer, it's a genuine seamless intro.

Mechcommander's intro vid is fantastic, most of the old mechwarrior games were good too..

Considering the age, this was pretty amazing... Looked great, superb setup, and again it wasn't just a pretty irrelevant video, it sets up the game with you as the survivor of the company. First game I ever upgraded to play, to 16mb of ram :D

Always like the Resident evil:code veronica intro.

Probably my fav ever is the intro to Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time on the N64, where link's riding epona over hyrule, just cause I anticipated that game so much, it was like when Mario first went 3D, was pretty special.

PC wise, think Half Life's intro held the most weight with me. Ooh Fahrenheit's (indigo prophecy) intro I thought was is pretty cool, just played that game recently.

Of course, how could we forget the classic Zero Wing Intro

Words fail me.

I always wondered where the phrases 'For great justice' and 'All your base are belong to us' came from. Now I know...

For me, Homeworld probably has the best intro. Homeworld 2's intro is the better cinematic experience, but the first caught me completely unaware, and made the original game very special.

I also have a fondness for the original X-Wing intro and Dawn of War.

For intro's/music I would choose either Xenon II or Blood Money on the Amiga... Bitmap Bro's knew how to choose a good soundtrack

Or Possibly Cannon Fodder II
