For Mac!!!

I know this says PC Games but i was just wondering if any of you guys could recommend a good game for mac.

I dont know weather any of you remember a game called Dark Reign? I used to love this game and would spend hours playing it. Is there any good strategy games out there that are similar to this?

Also i had looked at world of warcraft, what do you guys think of it?

Gah, why not have the topic title "Best game for mac?"?
I don't know, I've never owned a mac, and I'm here now, where's the exit?

well as much as i moan about world of warcraft its still the only mmo i have played for 4 years ! Although i tend to play for two weeks and then leave it for a month or so now.

If you havent played an mmo before its a good place to start as is very noob friendly.

You've done it now, you'll get dozens and dozens of morons telling you their favourite PC games, because actually reading a post is too much work :p

Edit - I see it's begun already:rolleyes:

WoW, i can't comment on as i dislike it, but if Dark Reign is like what Wiki says ("The gameplay is that of a sci-fi real-time strategy, similar to that of Command & Conquer") then go for Command and Conquer games?

Actually yes - Warhammer Online. You can grab the unlimited free trial too so you won't have to commit.

And if you like it you can probably pick up the game for next to nothing :p

Bootcamp is a windows installer for the mac basically, in theory you can play any PC game with it.

I wouldn't like to try though :)

Diablo 2 and mods would be my recommendation, followed by World of Warcraft, Warcraft 3, maybe Starcraft as well. I think the new blizzard games coming out D3 and Starcraft 2 will problably be supported as well.

You could try various indie games, a lot of them are supported by the mac.

World of Warcraft without a doubt. :)

Or if you want to be pedantic, any game that is on the PC via Boot Camp. This then boots into windows and runs exactly how a PC would run. No processes from the OS X side of things run at all.

You want to be careful with Mac games because they may be shoddy emulated ports. Don't ever get an EA game as they are all emulated and run like carp. WoW on the other hand is proper universal binary so runs great. Runs the same if i booted into windows and played it.
