I've been out of the loop for a while and feel like I need a CPU, Motherboard, RAM, upgrade. I'm still on an i7800k presently which has been awesome @ 4.8ghz but the time to upgrade is here I think.
I've just picked up an Asus ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WIFI (Socket AM5) DDR5 ATX Motherboard and was going to go for the 7800X3d having done some research as I'm primarily a gamer that is in to DCS, FS2020, Starfield, Baldurs Gate 3 etc. and I've heard this cpu is very good for these types of games.
So, just asking for opinions on the 7800X3d bearing in mind my choices are limited by my motherboard. Is there a better bang for buck CPU for gaming with this motherboard?
I'll be running a Sapphire Nitro+ 7900xtx with it.
