best gaming firewall

hi there what is a good gaming firewall it turns out what i was using "comodo" was blocking games from launching

what would be a good alternative

Domestically Windows firewall and whatever your router has built in is fine

thanks for that but my router hasnt got anything in i think virgin superhub3

It does, it simply has little to see in the interface and little to tweak.

IMO software firewalls for home use are snake oil, Windows firewall and router is enough for most folk.

How so? ESET's is really good showing you what is being sent out.

Yeah... no. You're gonna have to quantify that one a little.

OP, Comodo is very good but it does need setting up properly.

If you are more security conscious yeah but for most users their router NAT + basic firewall functionality combined with the built in Windows firewall provides good isolation from remote attack and some protection from outgoing misuse.
