I am looking for a new gaming keyboard I am using the Logitech G19 which is a good few years old and need something new.

Preferably mechanical and back lit any extra features wouldn't go a miss. I know Logitech don't do the screen anymore but you can use an app on your phone.

How do their new keyboards stack up?

Budget wise I am open as long as i find something i really like and happy with.

Thanks

If you are going to buy a mech then go to a store and test out switches, when you've found which switches you like start looking for boards as not all boards come in the same switch combinations and as they dictate the feeling you should probably ensure you are going to enjoy using the switch!

I was using a Razer BlackWidow for a couple of years. It had Cherry MX Blue's. Was great for typing on, gave great tactile feel and audible click so I knew the key was being registered.

I recently changed to Khali Red switchs with an Xtrfy K2. For typing, it's taking a small amount of getting used to because there is no 'clicks' sound, and that for me told my head that the key was registered. I've only used it for a few hours and still trying to get used to it. But for going OMG going from Blue to Red - I'd never go back.

I still cant make my mind up,

How are corsair for gaming keyboards their reviews are pretty good

Steelseries Apex M800.

I wouldn't use anything else now.

Me either, however these are going to be hard to get hold of now. I'll guess that Steelseries are going to bring out some more keyboards this year, so I'm looking forward to whatever they bring :)

In the meantime this offer we got on is sick...

I peronally like ( I use a Ducky Shine Zero , brown switches ) Ducky Shine Key Boards, best KBs I have ever used .

I have also used K70, and one or two others...but my faves are Duckyshine :)

I have got a Logitech G213, really like it, and its good the way it interacts with games

Personally I use a qpad mk85 with cherry red switches, with orings underneath.
Not notally silent, but pretty quiet as keyboards go.
