Your welcome.

Please check the specs between the 2 just in case I missed something and check out reviews.

Good luck.

This is critical tbh as the general performance will vary quite a bit between otherwise identical spec machines depending on how the power delivery & cooling has been setup.

For what it's worth I did own a Vector 16 AI 16 with the Ultra 255H & RTX 5070Ti. In terms of raw gaming performance it was fantastic with benchmark results in line with the previous gen 4080M. The noise level however was intolerable due to the seemingly stupid fan profile which spiked the GPU fan at 100% when temps climbed above ~ 65C. This is despite the MSI Centre allowing for User controllable fan profiles and then just outright ignoring it. Tried multiple work arounds but nothing worked as the trigger seems to be locked at the bios level. Locking the laptop into its balanced profile (so ~120w for the GPU) did make it much more usable but that left performance on the table.

you can also get the legion 5 pro with similar specs to those laptops above with an OLED screen for £2070 (even cheaper if you have perks at work or some student discount)

the legions are generally highly regarded. neither the acer or msi would have a OLED screen.

Can you get a legion 5 pro with a 5070ti thought the max for the 5 was a 5070, legion 7 has the ti but the oled would be nice?

also if you register at lenovo you can get cashback by way of lenovo rewards and i was sent a 10% voucher today which works on the legion range (probably because i added the 5pro to my basket but did not check out)

83LUCTO1WWGB1 is £2,100 and includes the 5070Ti. In fact given the relative price difference vs the much weaker 5070 equipped model it makes the latter pointless (unless its put on sale at a significant discount).

For ~£2K I'd watch the MM/other trusted sources for a 4090 equipped effort. Can absolutely be done. The 40xx can use a good bit of the frame gen tech/cheats while being pretty much on par/slightly ahead for raw grunt.

I got a 5080 g14 recently, but basically ended up returning it. From looking around the 5070ti is a really solid option if you can find a machine with it in got a good price

Ended up with the Acer predator neo 16 - it’s very very good indeed - sounds like a a jet plane when gaming so got a razer laptop cooling pad which has made a dramatic difference to thermals and noise - I’m really impressed with it - I had a strict 2k budget and I really couldn’t find anything better especially with a 5070ti
