Which is the best PC gaming mag currently on sale (and why)?

I like Edge, but only because it's very industry centered.

Probably no use to PC-only gamers but thought I'd add my 4pence.

I prefer PCZone to Gamer, although I don't buy them often, just when I am going on a long train trip or occassionally to have something to read in the bath...

I used to buy Computer and Video Games every month or w/e it was out, it was intresting, good content, was cheap aswell, I think its actual mag title is CVG. Its Multi Forum mag so its got like PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC etc..

I read PC Zone it seems the best to me and I like the style of the writing and content, very similar to Custom PC in tone.

PC Zone and Gamer were better many years ago when they were as different as chalk and cheese. Back then Gamer was the sensible, but good mag, and Zone was a near to anarchy as PC gaming could ever get. Used to love 'em both!

The days (when I actually buy one) I'm a PC Format guy. Though the recent revamp and the rather dodgy lads mag style covers are a bit of issue.

I've subscribed to PC Zone for the last 3 or 4 years. Used to read PC Gamer but when they went through one of their style-changing programs a couple of years ago I went off it.
I always look forward to getting the new magazine through the letterbox each month

PC Zone, back in the day. Now they all suck, though at least Edge sucks through a nice big straw of pretentious style.

All you need is freely available on the internet these days. I read Eurogamer, though I'm finding that I agree with their review scores less and less.

I'd vote for PC Format. Covers more things than either Gamer or Zone, but does it all from a gamer's perspective.

PCZONE all the way! Been reading it for near on 8 years

Been a subscriber for about 4 years...

I remember the re-launch they had when the mag was priced at £2.99 :eek:

I can't really comment on any other mags, because I only read the 'Zone' but when I've read friends mags; PC GAMER looks okay now? I used to hate it!

Subscriber to PC Zone. Good editorials and good content

Another vote for PC Format also. Gone from a very general PC Magazine to a mix of PC Gaming Gear and PC Games. Like the best bits of Custom PC & PC Zone

There isn't a good pc gaming mag available at the moment (imo of course). Edge and Retro Gamer are the best this country has to offer but they're multi platform mags.
