Razer exactmat, or should I say Razer Vespula >.>
my reason being that they have got two sides, 'control' and 'speed' and that they have good reveiws..otherwise I would definetely purchase a Boogie bug XXL.

Another vote for the Boogie Bug. Great mat for gaming and huge too, but can be easily customized with a pair of scissors

Buy a Puretrak Talent

I have a razer exactmat and a boogie bug, the Puretrak Talent is way better than either of them.

They do help, but they're not going to make you better at gaming.

For me it's more about comfort and the more comfy I am the more likely I am to stick with that setup and consistency is the best thing for a setup...

Boogie bug, i have the standard one which is very good. But i think ill purchase an xl. We all know that bigger is better.

Get a steelseries QcK mat of any kind if you like a soft mat, or an HD series from steel series if you like a hard mat. Nothing beats SS's mats.

I have both the boogie bug xl and the roccat taito. Both are excellent pads and feel very similar, main difference is the size. I'd recommend either.

Thanks for the advice. Finally got a Roccat Alumic. Just fed up with mouse mats curling up and getting grubby!

For info it is expensive but a great product.

Whats the difference betwen a mouse mat and a "gaming" pad?

Nothing really. Although a gaming pad is generally designed to give the mouse a smooth fast travel. Now all mice are optical some surfaces on the pad are different giving better responses.

I suggest not getting any Razer products as every one i have tried has been terrible.
