Best gaming monitor for up to 1k?

Hi, need some tips on a new monitor, as I am getting bored of my old one atm I'm running ASUS Rog Swift PG279q. I am in need of something bigger , games I play mostly RPG, but sometimes ill get stuck for hours on APEX or Halo etc.

The Alienware AW3423DW is the only thing worth considering at that price point to be honest. RRP is a bit over, but there might be some student etc. codes which still work

where can I find those codes *.*?
