Best gaming monitor you can get

Hey folks.

Im dying to get a new monitor in for the new GTA game at the end of this month

My budget is 500-779.99

My specs are

Intel Core i7-4790K 4.00GHz
NZXT KRAKEN X60
Corsair Vengeance 16GB
Asus Maximus VII Formula
Sapphire Radeon R9 290X Vapor-X OC 8192MB

I was looking at 21:9, 3440x1440, 28"-32" but can be swayed to go for 4k.

I just want the best for gaming please

Having tried 4K, IPS 1440 and the rog swift side by side (by side), the best gaming monitor is the rog swift imo

The motion clarity on the swift is simply stunning, it just needs a bit of fettling with to get it looking good (knocking the gamma down a touch in nvidia control panel)

If 21:9 is your preference you will need to get some eyes on time with one to make that decision

Unfortunately lads my GPU is AMD so G-Sync is out of the question

I think the rog swift is probably your best all round bet. It really is personal preferences with monitors though. You've got some people who prefer monitors that have the best colour and then people like me who want a monitor with the fastest response times and refresh rate and I'm not as fussed on colour.
Either way I would try and view before you buy if you are unsure but by the sounds of it a rog swift wouldn't dissapoint you.

The swift will still work as a 1440/120hz monitor, but equally there are apparently more coming so pricing could be better if you wait

If you are working with a single card then you are best off sticking with 1080p as you'll get rubbish frame rates at 21:9 or 4K

I always wanted the Swift but with my AMD card, I thought it was a waste but reading here and else where it seems its still the best choice even for AMD cards

It is exactly what i did when trying to decide between the rog and 4k

Unfortunately the rog exceeded my wildest expectations and i kept it so had to sell my 3 month old 4k monitor
