Best gaming mouse for christmas

Im after a good mouse for christmas.

Ive been looking at the G5, i would rather it be corded and 4 or more buttons.

I dont know much about them but thats my only requirement.

£40 is the kinda price im willing to pay

Get the MS 3.0, I used a MX518 before this and i have to say this is a little bit better than the MX518 especially with the 1000Mhz polling rate mod. G5 is a gimmick, if you prefer logitech go for the MX518 and a decent mouse pad. Im using razer mantis speed. Cloth mat if your a low sens gamer. Icemat or Steelpad if your a high sens user. Although i think the MS 3.0 has the best tracking well better than the mx518

Interesting, by high and low sens gamer do you mean how sensitive i have the crosshair movement etc in fps?

because on CSs etc i only have it around 5. my mate has 17

I have had a G5 for about a two weeks and it has been great

I got an everglide titan the other day and it has made it even better

I haven't had above 1.5 since I started playing properly 3 years ago.

In my opinion a Explorer 3.0 cannot be beaten.

If you want to be able to aim then use low sensitivity lol, I use 2.4 in game 6th bar in windows sens and 1000Mhz polling rate. Since i changed my mousemat from a everglide aswell i have been playing better. So go for a gaming mouse which seems comfy. Dont be pulled in by all these gimmicks. No need for extra DPI ect aslong as your mouse is set up properly. Also the weights in the G5 is pointless. Best logitech mouse is the MX518 by far. Best all rounder Microsoft intelli mouse 3.0, if i was you i would really consider those two mouses :cool:

when I was good at css I used to have it around 13

I use the Logitech G7, cant fault it, very good mouse. Can change the sensitivity at the flick of the button on the mouse

Its Kahn off the forums who has it real high

, i cant use it that way personally. 4-5 is how i like it.

I might just settle for the intellimouse 3.0 if its good then.

pointless spending if i wont see more benefit.

Got a 3.0 off a mate that is years old and despite its age it feels like sex.

I have a Razer Diamondback at 1600DPI and have it set to 9.1 in CSS.

Wouldent get another mouse appart from copperhead tbh

I cant play with it below 14 i find it too unresponsive, personally i think it comes down to what mouse you use, I have a 5 quid MS optical jobby, works fine for me.

I have come to the conclusion that all the lazer mice are pretty useless for low sense gamers, i can make them skip to such a point the cursor wont even move despite moving my hand 30 cm's, iv tryed multiple mouse pads and all experience it the same.

My advice go for a optical mouse ( i.e one with a red light), the new Razer DeathAdder sounds very promising and the diamondback is superb all round mouse, for low and high sense players, the MS3.0 is awsome but really only suits very low sense players.

Quoting sensitivitys in game is useless, there are 2 many variables, to get an idea of sensitivity give an idea of distance to rotate 360 degrees in game.

in q4 i use a sensitivty roughly 30cm's for a full 360 degree rotation, this is a fairly low sensitivty ( not the lowest iv seen by any means) and the ms3.0 is my current mouse of choice, although i think the diamondback is a better mouse overall due to its ability to work well for high and low sensitivity players.

I dont use any mouse accel in case your wandering.

Sensitivity wise i guess i dunno how far i go to move 360, but i know i have to lift the mouse and move it back over, its not like one straight movement.

i think anyway lol

Estimated release date end of decembet/early january for the death adder.

I prefer the shape of the copperhead tbh, however the only difference is really the shape, there are one or two nothing features that exist on the habu that dont exist on the copperhead, for instance you can turn off the leds on the habu.
