Best gaming mouse?

My personal favourite is the Coolermaster Sentinel Advance, best mouse ive used in long time.

I've been through a few over the years of gaming. The MC Inteli mouse mentioned earlier is great if your on a budget or just don't fancy spending a load. Been through 2 of those, brilliant.

Currently using a Deathadder (my 2nd) and they really are the dogs testicles, fit in a medium / large hand just perfectly.

I'd love to try the Mamba as all these wires are really starting to annoy me lately, but the price is a little high for my liking.

All those are so expensive, the gigabyte one Im getting is £38 for all the same, if not better specs :)

I looked at the RAT mice, and that Naos on the previous page that I really liked, but they cost way too much.

I paid £15 for a Diamondback, £25 for a Deathadder, and now £38 for the M8000X, all of those combined is like the same cost as the Rat 7, and each one lasted for its warranty period.

The diamondback still works, but all of the rubber coating is heavily worn out, but both the Razer mice lasted for 2-3 years so I cant really complain.

My Saitek Cyborg V7 keyboard started dying in its final few months of warranty (mass and rapid failure of lots of buttons), I got it replaced for a brand new one in the very last warranty month :D. Some of the buttons have gotten scratched though, I could maybe get the gigabyte keyboard too to try out, but I'll wait until this one actually dies again because its still really nice.

My personal favourite is the Coolermaster Sentinel Advance, best mouse ive used in long time.

This is what I was going to get for my replacement first, it looked solid, but was a little too expensive compared to the Gigabyte alternative. They look very similar too.

Hmm, but lots of reviews on that coolermaster one are saying its falling apart very quickly! Dodgy batch maybe?

I think steelseries mice deserve a mention.

Enjoyed my time with a ikari optical, although I found the shape a bit too "molded" no other way of putting it. It was a bit too glove-like.

Best gaming mouse?

When I've owned all of them, I'll tell you ;) But for now, I'm using an MX518 with the sole reason being it hasn't broke, but never being a fanboy, I would be willing to listen to anyone who has moved on from the 518 and never regretted it ... straight mouse line guy above using Paint had an idea about the 518 but didn't give a better solution.

I did try the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 but could not get on with it at all.

I've gone from Logitech MX 510 >> G5 >> very happy with my new G500 I got this week.

My Razer Imperator is great now I've got a decent pad to do it justice. The difference on comfort and precision from my gigabyte mouse was astounding. Worth the money, imo.

Or no, I'll have this one, I didnt realise it had lights from the picture, but it does have customizable lights :)

Just arrived this morning earlier than expected.

I was expecting it to be good, but not AS GOOD as it actually is!

It is the most comfortable mouse I've ever used, chunky enough for the hand to rest on it, with rubberiesed side pads / rest for the thumb and pinky finger (My deathadder was really unfomfortable on my pinky side where I have RSI, and my hand didnt fully rest on it when used with my exactmat gel wrist rest, but the M8000X has perfect ergonomics).

The DPI is easy to switch between 4 different settings with an up down slide button just underneath the scroll wheels, and it has adjustable weights with 1 x 20g and 3 x 6g weights. The mouse felt far too light for me out of the box, so I stuck all the weights in and it is 100% perfect and precise on the second highest DPI setting for windows (I think the 4 settings are 6000, 3500, 1800, and 900 DPI, though the middle two feel identical, and the bottom one feels the same as my deathadder was which might be because I havnt installed the driver CD yet).

The top DPI setting is completely insane though! I dont think I'll be using that one much.

Very very comfy, up to 6000 DPI and perfect precision in windows on the second highest setting, adjustable weights and lights, and 70 programmable micros for under £40?

The Deathadder and MX518 are sooo 3 years ago :D

People need to get this Gigabyte mouse and try it out, I doubt they would be able to go back to any other after using it.

^^I don't have the same model though I also recently bought a Gigabyte mouse and am more than pleasantly surprised by how good a little performer it is for the money. I found it not to be a disappointment even when compared to the great DeathAdder.

I have a RAT 7 which is excellent, especially the button that slows the movement when you are aiming at someone, the only problem is I find the palm rest a little too high, none of the replacement ones that come with it make it lower, otherwise you can change almost everything about it

I like to keep it simple with my gaming mouse, so use this. Sucks being a claw grip gamer as the options are more limited. Tried MX518 and hated it, felt like a massive egg and had to constantly lift the mouse off the pad, then tried copper head but the lift off distance was awful.

This path tracking mimicked my own experience going from teh mx510 (same as 518) to the G5 my marksmanship score on America's Army went up and was a lot easier. I have a G500 because the mouse feet ground down with the G5.

I have a Steelseries top of the range mouse mat and bought 2 other mouse mats, the Razer Goliathsis and the Rocat Sence neither of which hold a candle to it. I think its this one: http://shop.steelseries.com/us/index.php/surfaces-us/steelseries-sands.html
