Best gaming tablet?

Since the Nvidia shield is out of stock everywhere, I'm wondering if there is an alternative to this in the same price band? It's been out a long time so I was hoping some other company has brought out a better gaming tablet?

no idea - not sure there is anything alternative

why is the Shield nearly always out of stock ? too popular or they don't make enough ?

Shield TV (which I have) is easy to come by

Haven't Nvidia got a new tablet lined up for the end of the year or something? Maybe they're winding down K1 production (I'm probably totally wrong).

Qa issues mass recall.

They had occasional tendencies to explode occasionally apparently. Bloody pain as I'm after a new tablet

I got the Shield K1 from the rainforest about 4 weeks ago. Stunning piece of kit although it does run a little hot at times.
