Best GFX card for my mother? Got to play Mass Effect and Dragon Age Inquisition?

Hi guys,

My mother's PC is getting old (is a E8400, 2 GB Ram & an AMD Radeon 7850).

PC is refusing to boot today and she is ready for a new system.

What is the best value gfx card I can buy for her at the moment? Will be pairing with a 4790K and a Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H-BK.

I'm a little out of the loop and only really check out the high end stuff.

She loves the Mass Effect games and will probably really enjoy Dragon Age Inquisition also...

I think maximum budget would have to be £250 for gfx card in this scenario - what is the best recommendation?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE no arguing about AMD vs NVIDIA bla bla I don't got the time just want the best bang vs buck.

I ran a 7850 on my system before I got my 290x and it held up perfectly fine, ultra/high in most games, medium in the newer ones.

280x would be about twice as fast as a 7850.

try and grab a 280x or 290x in the members market?

bound to be some with everyone upgrading to fury x and 980tis ?

I have for sale a brand new, unused MSI 280x Gaming OC. This card was sent from OCUK as a replacement for a faulty card. It has around 18 months left on the warranty.

280x are 15% faster than a 960.

wouldn't surprise me if the 960 was cooler and quieter though
