best ghosting software

I just tried a true image recovery sw and it didn't work . I heard norton ghost is crap so which is the best

Which software did you try, and why didn't it work? I've never had any trouble with Acronis, though there are others (eg DriveXML, Windows Backup & Restore in high-end copies of Vista etc).

acronis - did a backup from the backed up file i'd made of the previous hdd, copied onto new hdd, stuck in laptop - no disk or disk error

Just used Paragon and it worked a treat
