I have a few old laptops with "floppy screen syndrome" - the plastic surrounding the nut in the palmrest assembly has snapped off, so when you open or close the laptop the hinge tries to pry the casing open etc.
Just wondering if there is a particular glue people would recommend for this? Have seen YTube videos of peopling using epoxy, superglue with baking soda etc. to build up around the nut (some have the nuts still sitting there with the plastic just spinning on them, others the nut has been lost - but I can get new knurled nuts no problem).
Anyone got anything in particular that they use? I know JB Weld is better than baling twine, but there must be something that is better than even that?
Thanks in advance.
