best golf game?

Guys, can anyone recommend me a great golf game? After buying Rory on PS4, it's got me back into playing golf games but I need one for my PC. I'm not bothered about online play or graphics and I don't want any F2P games. I would like to play on realistic courses and authentic offline season. If I can update the season to current day then that's a bonus.

So far I've been looking at Links 2003. Anyone know if this is the best I will find on the PC and if it will provide what I want?

Open to other recommendations also.

I didn't realise there was a VR version (HTC Vive) of The Golf Club. Looks good and is getting some decent early reviews on Steam.

I've just recently got a Vive and haven't played The Golf Club for ages so when I saw your post I rushed to install it - only to realise that you have to buy the VR version separately!!!! (and it memory serves, it's about double the price of the original game cost!!!!)

Gutted...

Jack Niclaus Golf or The Golf Club. Both are very good and both have thousands of courses to download

I've got TGC on PS4. How is the single player on Jack Nicklaus? Does it contain real names, real courses and a larger roster of events?
