Best Gpu <£100

Hi,

Sorry for another spec me thread but im massively out of touch with hardware so dont really have a clue. Decided its finally time to upgrade my 8800gts 512mb. I game at 1440x900 so not a hugely taxing res. Happy to buy 2nd hand but have a max budget of £100. At the minute looking at 5850's and 6850's in MM, got no idea about Nvidia. Any advice is appreciated.

Brand new you can only get a GTX 460 1GB for around that price. So you may be better off with a 5850 or a 6870 off MM. 6850 is a little slower than the 5850.

6850 ~ GTX 460 < 5850 < 6870

Probably 6850 is your best bet especially if you will be using the card to view HD media.

I just bought a pretty much brand new Sapphire HD6950 2GB for £100....I would say how, but I dont think Im allowed.....its not what you know, if how you strangle the seller into submission what counts.
