After a long wait, I will finally be getting a GPU - 3060Ti. In order to get the best performance out of it, I want to make sure I have the right cables coming out of the card. My monitor has an HDMI and a mini-Displayport. The GPU has 1x HDMI 2.1 and 3x DP 1.4a. I only use one monitor at the moment (4K, 60Hz), though I would like to at some point get a 1440p 144Hz monitor for gaming. What would be the best connector to use - HDMI or DP?

HDMI 2.1 has more bandwidth than five years old DP 1.4 and can do for example 10bit 144hz 4K without compression.
But for 60Hz monitor it doesn't matter...
Unless monitor has only crappy HDMI 2.0, which can't do 10bit 60Hz withous scrappy chroma subsampling.
