Best GPU for £120

The 7950 is very good at this price level I think, it was the 3gb that convinced me. Some games are over 2gb usage so that has helped performance I think
Most games don't hit over 2GB yet (will probably much more likely to happen when new consoles are launched), but the wider 384-bit bus-size would definitely benefit over the 256-bit bus, because of the overall higher memory bandwidth.

Battlefield 4 with it's resolution scale turned up is the only game that I have seen go over 2GB.

I have a 7850. It struggles with current gen games at 1080p. With next gen games no chance at all unless you dial everything to "low" presets.

If you want to play PC games at 1080p we are all being forced to more expensive cards in the £200 - £250 range, just for playable frame rates at 1080p.

P.S. Good luck getting a 2nd hand 7950 for £120. Even on the MM, that doesn't happen.

This is the only card that fit the budget:

But unfortunately it only comes with 2 years warranty. You might have better luck looking for 7950 elsewhere, but can't really point you to the right direction due to forum rule.

A word of warning is to avoid XFX. Their "so-called" warranty ain't worth the paper it's printed on. Their service is so bad that even OcUK have problems doing rma with, and needless to say OcUK has now stop stocking XFX graphic cards altogether.

This HIS card at 160 seems good. How much better is the iceq boost at 185?

It's overclocked 15% more which yields about 10% on BF3 at a cost of £24 which is ironically about 15% too.

At that cost you could get a GTX670 instead so better to buy the 800MHz version and overclock it yourself.

GTX670 would be slower than the 7950 in BF4 if comparing both overclocked...

Unlike BF3, BF4 is heavily AMD optimised.
