Aye, but there was also this released very recently (yesterday in fact) and I haven't gotten around to adding it to my mini-FAQ...

Shows a pretty decent lead by the X1900GT with minimum framerate stats too, and as we know, every FPS counts in that game.

Thats only because Oblivion is a very shader heavy game.

That is a good page to compare.

Of course, as I have said all along; The word is that the X1900GT is better in games that use a lot of shaders, and upcoming titles will only rely more and more on complex shaders. :) The X1900GT performs better in Oblivion, but just wait until games like Crysis are out. It may take a pretty steep lead.

I've not been saying that the X1900GT is a better card overall, just that it has a much more elegant cooling solution and that it may perform better in future games. :p

Both the X1800XT and the X1900GT are excellent choices and you would be pleased with the performance from both.

The X1800XT is quicker in current games (barring oblivion) however future games may favour the extra shader power of the X1900GT.

Thats the way i see it too. Considering the price of both cards you cant really go wrong.
