Hi guys,
I decommissioned my PC last year when I moved away from home. Sold my HiS 7950 (great card!) and the i5 CPU I had.
So now my PC is back to a 1156 i3 with onboard graphics. Useless for anything 3D.
I'm looking to get it back up and running for some L4D and HoN to start with. Any old card will play those, but I used to play Eve Online and might want to have a bash on there again so figure I want a decent enough card for the next couple of years.
So basically want a card that will do the job now, but won't bottleneck when I eventually get round to spending some money on the board and CPU.
Saw an OCUK branded GTX770 for £220 in the nVidia camp, is this a safe bet or do AMD have a new card that's the one to go for on a budget?
PS I currently run games at 1080p resolution, but want to get either one of these super wide 2500x1080 screens or a 1440p panel.
