To go with a 7800x3d. Ideally Nvidia but if theres a much stronger AMD option thats fine. 1440p. Needed ASAP as my current card is finally giving up! Cheers!

Apparently we might hear news of the RX7800XT 16GB on Friday. Also generally speaking this is terrible generation in terms of value for money. The RTX4070 is more like the RTX3060TI replacement but upscaled to nearly £600. Technically that or a sub £500 RX6800XT would be the best options under £600.

AMD are announcing new cards soon, I think I read Friday this week? I'd wait and see what they're like. There may be a performance bargain but I doubt it.

Might be worth mentioning im coming from a 970

Bejeebus..... that's like a 1060 6GB on this chart.

A 6700XT is 3X as fast, anything higher than that and you're just adding multiples.... :D

Haha yeah i didnt quite have the money to upgrade the 970 when i got the rest of the PC a couple of months ago...but its really holding everything back and its definitely starting to go now. Ill hold on till friday to see if anything changes

Just seen a 6900XT Red Devil Ultimate for £590, never thought they would go that low. I have the not Ultimate version and it’s been a very good card.

Very happy with my Red Devil 6950XT which I paid around 600 for. Nvidias only option at the same price point is a bug standard 4070, at least in my region, which is a pretty poor offering IMHO. But I would wait until AMD has revealed their hand if they infact intend to do so on friday. What is 1 more day of waiting?
