Guys I built a video editing rig for my dad a few years ago.

It has 16gb ram a 2600k and a GTX 460 (for cuda rendering)

The 460 had just packed it in and I'm looking for a replacement. I know my stuff about gaming, but know naff all at what makes a good video editing card.

He has a budget of about £60, is there anything capable of keeping up or beating the 460?

It needs to be new, as he's a stiffler for warranty :D

Not for £60 with warranty. You could at a push get a second card for that which would do, but no warranty.

The question was equals or betters, remember this will not be used for any gaming.

How close does a gt640 come? Is the 750 any good for video work?

What video editing software does your father use ? That can also be a contributing factor, since different software packages make use of different GPU acceleration standards (OpenCL, OpenGL, CUDA etc.)

I'm pretty sure he uses Magix movie edit pro.

Im trying to figure out if it uses Cuda and Open cl, so an AMD card may be a better option here.

I'd rather get a second hand 7850 over a GTX 480 tbh.

The 750ti isn't bad but I feel it's overpriced for what it is, unless you absolutely have to have a very low power card.
