buying tomorrow! max budget 100 no more than that! i was thinking a 550 or 6770 but which one is better?

I'd say find the £13 for the MSI HD7770 Power Edition and overclock. There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to get HD7850 performance out of it.
 
Another vote for second hand 5870. If you're set on brand new only then - 460gtx or AMD 6850 (both can be had at around £90 usually)
 
Id love to get her a 6850 or a 460gtx but they are over 100@ocuk and i need it asap so i cant really spend time looking for a 2nd hand one.. zotac 550 amp looks quite good for 99 ?! It will only need to run sims 3 at 1650x1050

If you go for a 550Ti, just get the cheapest one.


No point paying for an overclock which you either can do yourself, or won't need because its only Sims ;)

In fact, on that logic a 7750 makes more sense, bit cheaper and in the benchmarks performs similarly while using a fair bit less power.
