Best GPU Option For £350

Are you referring to the fans that stop working issue? Is that the case for MSI Gaming 290 and 290x ?

EDIT: Actually, I think the fan issue was with the Ligthtning, sorry.

I'm glad you're not. ;) :)

Some early batch on the GE had oil on the fans with some people re-porting fans stopped working.
The Lightning was a Driver issue I am to believe. My last cards was XFX 7950's and it was the same around here people saying to stay away. Not everyone has issue and the people who do post on forums.

:D

I've got a MSI 290 Gaming, currently no issues, but I'll go check it tonight, just to be sure... :)

Better cooler.

30Mhz will make no difference, if anything the Sapphire will overclock higher.

I can't find anything to back up what you say about being able to overclock better. The cooler looks pretty decent on the VTX as well.

Any links/proof to show how the Sapphire overclocks better?

Sapphire uses Hynix and VTX use Elpida, so theres one difference. The TRI-X also have a reputation for clocking well to 1200 and beyond because of the powerful cooler. If you don't spending the extra id recommend the Sapphire over the VTX, and this is coming from a VTX owner.

Yer fair enough on the RAM and Hynix does generally clock better. I based my choice on "Out of the box", as it is faster than the Sapphire but the Sapphire for me looks aesthetically better.

Another option for the OP anyways.
