best gpu to last me a while.

Hi,
my pc is starting to come together now, and i wanted to know what graphics card shall i get to last me a while i will be gaming on a 22" screen and i want to play most games either high or maxed out. i was thinking a 4850 but i am prepared to wait if any price drops are comming because of new cards coming out.

a 4850 woud be fine, but if you want it to last a while i'd go 4870

4850 is brilliant bang for buck. If it's at the reach of your budget then there's none better at that price.

4870 will last you a while longer if you can stretch that far.

thanks for the replies guys i might be able to stretch to a 4870 as thier is not much difference between a top end 4850 and a low end 4870 and i am not a gaming freak so i can last a little while longer without a card.
