Best GPU To run with a G630 Processor?

What are your aims for the PC? Are you looking for basic internet/email/office use, or are you using it to watch TV/DVD/Blu-rays, or are you looking to game on it? If you're looking to game, what monitor/resolution are you running, and what kind of games do you want to run?

Also, which 500W PSU do you have? There is a world of difference between what a good brand 500W can run compared to a cheap, light one that came from eBay. :)
 
the 1gig 7750 is GDDR5 according to ocuk.

My brother uses this 7750 and its a pretty good card. Doesnt need any extra power as it just uses the pci lane power so it barely outputs heat. Also overclocks nicely. can easily get an extra 100-150mhz on it.

He also has a G620 and can play skyrim, Total war shogun and rome comfortably at 1080p

Id personally spend a bit extra though and get this

The cpu will bottleneck it but that is a non issue as you can easily bung a second hand i3 or i5 in there for cheap and it will last you for years at your res and will game easily at 1080p
 
7850 gets my vote too

you'll suffer in multi threaded games with those chips though,i have the g620 went to an i3 3220 and no more stutter in threaded games

ohh and you can set bclk to 104.50 for a free oc

I was thinking of that MSI 7850 too but the bottleneck i'll get a i5 later down the line and at that price point for a 7850 what a steal
 
if you need further convincing of getting that 7850 while its cheap then look at the comparison between it and the 7770.

its not far off double performance in most areas and can be crossfired later if needed. The 2gb vram is needed.

The 7850 is also a proven overclocker and can be biting at the heels of a 7950 if you get a good clocker.

I had one for a while and it was fantastic, ran cool and quiet overclocked brilliantly.

whats the point of it when for an extra £20 he can get a 7850 which is a better performer.

Op will probably upgrade his cpu and monitor in time and when he does he will have a card capable of powering the res saving money in the long term.

Maybe he's happy with his current monitor? So to get any benefit out of the 7850 which already costs more than the other cards, he will then have to spend another 100+ on a monitor.

Even with a full hd screen, I currently use a 7770 and it handles even the most demanding games fine. I've had higher end cards in the past but realised I don't really care about playing at max settings and can get the same FPS by simply changing a few settings.

Since op seems content with his current monitor I doubt being able to play games at their highest settings is a priority. If this is the case then buying the 7850 is just a waste of 20 pounds.
 
I have a g620 CPU paired with a 7850 and 1920x1080 monitor,all games like blur,need for speed,mortal kombat ect played fine on highest settings,games like l.a.noire suffered badly even at low res

I'd say if your planning on keeping current monitor then get the 7770 otherwise put the extra for the 7850 and a decent CPU/monitor
 
im still saying the 7850 even if the op sticking with his monitor. At the price it is I cannot see any logical reason to not buy it over a 7790. £20 extra for 10fps minimum when not even overclocked to their limit.
