looking to upgrade my pc for something to replace the onboard video. my spending limit is only £35 though. will be using ebay to buy something so will be looking out on auctions. currently have a bid on a Radeon HD 5770 card at £19. this one any good. also need your recommendations for something okish at that price.

will be for general use only and the occasional car simulator but no games like battlefield call of duty any new games in particular as i use my xbox/ps3 for that

Current PC Specs
THE SPECS SO FAR: 500GB Seagate Barracuda hard drive. 2 sticks of 1GB DDR2 ram. Cd/DVD RW drive. ECS G31-T M7 v7.0 motherboard. and the processor is a Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 2.2GHZ overclocked to 2.75GHZ. 1MB cache. all with a Cooler Master hyper 212 heatsink/cooler combination.

also can i overclock the processor any more than 2.75ghz? have tried but computer wil crash after about 5 mins of running?

I can't comment on the overclock unfortunately but I can say the 5770 is a fantastic card.

I had a single one for a short while(before going crossfire with it) and found it ran even the likes of Crysis very well on high settings at 1920*1080 :)

I think you "should" be able to get the E2200 up to around 3.0GHz.

As for graphic card, a 2nd hand 5770 would be a good option to pair with what you got, as any faster card would become pretty pointless until you actually upgrade your CPU.

Gaming performance would be more depended on the type of games that you play- some is more demanding on CPU side, others are more on the graphic side; take Guild Wars 2 for example, on my secondary system, even with my E5200 overclocked to 4.25GHz, it will bottleneck my 9800GTX+ (around 10% slower than the 5770) with the GPU usage drop to 50% and frame rate down to 20-30fps at times.
