Best Graphics Card For Approx £100

Hi there, I'm looking for a graphics card and have around £100 to spend.

Would love to get peoples opinions on the best one to go for around this price range.

I'm looking to play games like gears of war and far cry. I'm running a i7 930 @ 4.2Ghz.

Any help would be great.

but for a little more look at a 768mb 460

Oh yeah, sorry everyone, should have given more details to begin with.

Spec
Core i7 930 @ 4.2Ghz
6GB corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600Mhz
Asus P6T motherboard
Curently running a nvidia 8600GT

I have a coolermaster gx550w power supply and centurion 2 case, I use my 40" 1080p sammy lcd as my secondary/gaming monitor so looking at maybe 1280x720 for games or best that i can get for the money.

What sort of FPS am I looking at with the 5770 / 460 respectively playing games at 720p, and will my current setup be able to handle it.

BTW do I need to give any more info about my setup, only really just started using the forums, don't know why I never though to before.

The 460 looks good, how well and easily does it overclock.

P.S. If there's a particular brand that overclocks better please let me know.

Gigabyte and MSI Cyclones are good from what I hear. But better think hard as they are custom PCB, as I found out later they will not fit a full gpu waterblock. But if watercooling is not your thing bobs your uncle!

Yeah, cant really afford proper watercooling, I've got a H50 for my CPU which I know isn't true water cooling but that's my limit lol.

How do you feel about a second hand GTX285 or so? Those go for around £70-80 second hand and they're great, only setback would be no DX11.

Don't mind about second hand, got to admit, that sort of pricing is tempting.

What sort of sacrifices am I looking at by not having DX11.

I would say grab a 460 if you can stretch to it and then you will have the option to add a second one at a later date!

i think a 460 would run BF3 better than a 295? but thats me

...in the long run/future that is and it will be DX11, and a lot of the games after that will be.
