I love my PS3 but when it comes to good hack and slash RPGs it's seriously lacking. So I thought I'd spend about £200 on my Antec HTPC to give it a little kick up the back side. I want to play games like Risen and Gothic 4 maxed out. My old graphics card is a 8800GT and that's about the max length graphics card that will fit in my case.

Here's a Link to my case at OCUK

I was looking at the HD6870 but I don't know if it will fit.

i have the hd6870, after rma ing the gtx460 due to noisy fan, the ati card was bigger than the gtx, actually looking at it's the full width of MB which looks about 12" square.

cheers

p.s (does this sound like i shouldnt smoke too early) :/

I have a Thermaltake dh101 in my living room and it looks to be the same size(ish). I currently have a gtx260 card in there but its a very very tight fit due to the drive cage so I'd say that a 6870 almost certainly wont fit my case. If your case has the drive cages in a similar position then I'd say it's unlikely to fit without some surgery.

A little google tells me the gtx560 ti is the same length as the 8800gt which is 9 inches long. The 6870 is slightly longer at 9 3/4 inches. Looks like you need a 560.

Remember the 6870 has the power connectors on top edge of the card so you dont have to add that space on to the length of the card (the 560's are on the trailing edge so you have to add in the length of the power connectors). Best bet is to measure how much space you have and then look for the best bang for buck card that fits that space - must admit I will be amazed if it turns out to be the gtx560 though!

Personally had a 480gtx in my silverstone LC17 HTPC case, but realised it was a bit hot so just ordered its replacement...

I was just curious about what card you ended up going for? I ordered the same case and not sure what card will fit
