Looking at which graphics card to go in this system,

P67A-UD3-B3
i7 2600k
16GB DDR3 1600Mhz
750w Psu

which GPU would you go for, some gaming maybe some graphics work, editing. What would be the best performance. And reasonably priced.

obviously it’s a bit of an older system.

anyone running this setup. Or similar.

The CPU and RAM looks OK. So really, I would say that your biggest hurdle is your PSU.

In theory, it should be able to power a RTX 3060 or 3070 (in a pinch) or lower from nVidia side, and around an RX 6700 or lower on AMD side, but prices for those are out of this world at this point. So really the question at this point is, "What do you consider to be reasonably priced?"

Very hard to find a GPU at the moment.
Your system should be fine with a recent midrange GPU, but as mentioned above, I would make sure your power supply can handle it. Which power supply is it? How old?

Thanks for the reply, Ahh it’s the Corsair RM750 Gold PSU.

yeah I don’t think I fully understood the gpu shortage at the moment! I had hoped I could pick up a decent one for say £100-200, maybe £300, Depending what was available, but seeing prices are ridiculous at the moment.

My other card is dead so I need something.

Sorry to say but your budget needs to have a higher ceiling but depends what games/graphic work you're after. Even second/third hand 1080's are going for 400 plus

Yeah to be honest, not looked at of parts for building for a year or so. I hadn’t realised what was going on. I was thinking or maybe picking up and 1080ti as that’s a 4 year old card. But as you say they are all £400 or more, if you can find one.

Yeah I thought oh pick up a second hand 1080ti £200 or so maybe! But clearly not! I have just read they might start manufacturing them again. Not sure how true that is.

Maybe I just get any old card to stick in for now. Just for basic office work, and get a better card if and when things settle down! Or is that a false economy.

The CPU iGpu should suffice for getting a display for office/browsing until/if the crazy GPU market calms down

Still holding out, are we seeing the mining market crash slightly. Been stalking eBay/******, CEX. Trying to gauge the market, seems to be coming down slightly or is that just me.

Where else do people look for cards? I can’t see the members market :(

I suppose I’m hopeful the market will get flooded with miners selling whilst the prices are so high. But who knows.

also new cards dropping next weekend might also help if enough of them get into gamers hands.

I’m hoping for the 1080ti or 1660 8gb

Fingers crossed.

They do appear to have started coming into stock now in numbers after months of none at all. After the initial rush of the really desperate they could well drop again as sales drop off... so I'd be inclined to try and hang on for a bit.
