Best GTA on PS2

My god, it's like being asked to chose your favourite from your three children, I love em all and each in a different way.

GTA III was for it's OMG factor and it's the reason why I got back into consoles after not playing one for about 5 years. The atmosphere was great, especially when it rained.

GTA VC was just sublime, especially with the sound track and the whole eighties thing. But the best thing about it was the introduction of both motorbikes and helicopters.

GTA SA was just soo damn big, it's a great game because it's just got so much to do in it. Some good music but no where near as good as VC. Still a damn good game and still had that OMG factor for the size of the map area.

If I really had to chose I would have to say VC for the soundtrack - just awesome :D

There was something about chasing about shooting people with 99 red balloons playing in the back ground that made me smile! :D

I know, that or Atomic by Blondie. I'm not normally into buying soundtracks of things but that is one 7 CD box set I'm proud to have in my collection.

VC and SA are both good, cant go wrong with either, if you feel like being in 80's miami with a scarface feel to it (VC ripped the hell out of scarface (the movie), loads was copied lol) get VC, if you feel like a ghetto gangsta bloke man doing drive bys, get SA :)

You cant beat the original so GTA3 for me, never got into Vice City or San Andreas even a quarter of the amount as GTA3

Are Vice City Stories or Liberty City Stories worth the purchase? Looking for a PS2 game to while away the time on my PS3 and these are the only 2 GTAs ive not tried.

I finished LCS on the psp, was superb considering the platform, not sure how well it translates to the PS2 though.

Played a couple of hours of VCS and got bored.

Both good games on the PSP (although VCS is a bit buggy in places) but on the PS2 I have heard they lack a bit as they are PSP ports.

VC i played through all the missions over and over. GTA3 was awesome when it was released and was the reason so many ppl got a ps2 that year. SA was good but my ps2 couldnt load fast enough and i would fall of my bike then the wall would appear after i fallen off, and the game just wasnt as good as VC for some reason.

Vice City was easily the best IMO, good characters, good acting, good storyline, good music. The only GTA game that kept me playing till completion.

San Andreas as a game was done fairly well but the characters were rubbish, bad acting, mostly rubbish music, boring. If you're well into rap music I would imagine you'd love it though.

never try the other radio channels then ? was a channel for each type of early 90s music tbh

i absolutely loved vice city , great theme etc but the san andreas theme was just as good IMO , then it had the other extras that i think made it the best GTA

it had everything that a game could have imo, truly great
