Best hack n slash RPG/action type game for ps2?

Just looking for an oldish (sort of the £10 mark) ps2 game which involves hack n slash gameplay, maybe a bit like god of war? I'm not sure how much that goes for. But RPGs are also maybe what i'm after.

Can anyone suggest a decent title to go for?
