Best HDTV for PC Gaming

OK, apologies as I already have another thread, but I'm asking a more specific question here. Basically, I can't make my mind up whether to get a new 24" LED monitor, which I know will do gaming and movies fine. However, 24" isn't that big when your watching movies across the room (defeats the object of blu-ray on that size at that distance).

So unless there are no good Full HD TVs (under £400) that will be suitable for PC gaming (ie good response time and refresh rates), I will abondon the idea, and stick to 24" monitor. I thought about a 27" monitor at the higher resolution, but my 2x GTX260s and E6750 don't have the grunt to run games at 2560x1440.

So what full HD TVs would you recommend for me? Thanks!

I think you would be best sticking with a PC screen for PC gaming
unless you can afford a decent 50" Plasma TV.

I read that plasma were even worse for PC gaming, cause of the burn in effect?

Thats practically their only drawback and that just means use caution.

yea just play games or watch movies on a plasma from the pc, nothing else like office work and surfing otherwise you asking for trouble

Which i why a plasma would be no good for me - it's primarily going to be a PC monitor, so mainly browsing, listening to music etc.

Are all HDTVs really no good for PC gaming?
