Best Headset for XBox 360?

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a new headset to replace my standard wired one. I haven't had much trouble with it to be fair but it is pretty quiet and I feel its worth investing in a decent one seen as i've been playing quite a lot lately.

Could anyone reccommend any decent third party headsets? how is the XB360 official wireless one?(seems pretty steep at £30)

Sorry if a similar thread has been posted but I was unable to find one using search

Never tried them myself but the turtlebeach x series are supposed to be very good they start at about £40 for the X1 and £150 for the X4. Have a look online for reviews and stuff, i have a link but i dont think i can post it here.

new type wired with 2.5mm jack is best tbh

Never runs out of battery and works just fine.

Until I turn my speaker volume up too much

Wireless official headset, followed by halo 2 headset then the 360 standard.

I fine myself having to shout into the wireless headset or nobody can hear me

I prefer the wired one myself, shame my daughter has killed it by putting the mic part in her mouth

Wired is better quality wise than Wireless, the microphone and speaker are a fair bit better.

Wireless, had mine from when it came out awesome, though now you can get a usb charger even better.

can you get the USB charger separately?

Lost my standard charger which was Euro plug no less so should be easy to find :\

Also I found that the wireless headset really hurt after a while
