Has anyone got a link to a roundup comparing these heatsinks?

Noctua NH-U9F
Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme
Tuniq Tower 120

I am looking to passively cool/fan on low a 8400. Which is the best performing heatsink?

Case is likely to be a Antec P182.

For cooling:
1. TRU-120E
2. Tuniq
3. Scythe
4. Noctua

I went for the Noctua since it is a lot smaller and I am limited by my case. If you want a smaller heatsink consider the Thermalright Ultima 90i which is almost as good and the 120. The new Noctua NH-U12P is also excellent and gives the 120 a run for its money.

I went for the Noctua U9F in my HTPC and it's virtually silent even with the fan at full speed - with the ULNA it would be even better. Much quieter than the Mini Ninja (and much less hassle to fit - I hate those **** push pins)

Anandtech do good, reliable comparisons:

TRUE is the best, but you really need a fan to make it shine, or you will need to have all fans on High in your p182 case to be able to generate enough airflow to cool it.

What about the new Scythe Copper one that is out? Just bought that and awaiting delivery for it but considering its full copper (90%) I am expecting some serious cooling! Might get rid of the Scythe fan on it and replace it with the Noctua one? Is this good to do?

the TRUE with a silent eagle is the best. For a start u can get around 30-40C without a fan and with a silent eagle i get around 35C under load and i cant ever hear it.

^I've just purchased one of those and it should be here this week... Curious to see how it performs.
